Welcome to my Blog!

I have ALWAYS had a passion for art and I like to think outside of the box. I received my degree in Art/ Graphic Design and I have narrowed down my photography passion to shooting WEDDINGS! I have become absolutely addicted to learning and experimenting with new techniques with every shoot. Although I la-la-LOVE what I do, I'm not just a mom with an expensive camera who just takes pictures for fun. I take my work very seriously, but I like to have fun and get crazy shots using different poses and crazy angles. I know your mom wants 99% of your shots to be beautiful full length gown shots..... but I'm not your traditional photographer.... sorry mom! I try to make my work artistic, modern, romantic, sexy, expressive, sensual and innovative. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone will love my work and that's great because I don't want to be your classic photographer. Please check out my work and see if it's what you're looking for. I hope that I am hired not just as a photographer, but as an artist. That being said.... I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy producing it!

Thanks for looking at my blog and please feel free to leave comments or use the contact me link..... or both! Thanks and have a great day!

Karisa Maternity

Baby Kennedy will soon make her grand appearance! As for right now she’s safely nesting inside her beautiful mother. She is so lucky to have two parents who already love her and are anticipating her birth. The “pregnancy glow” is so evident here. I’ve know Karisa for a long time and she her pregnancy has given her an even brighter glow and such a refreshing maternal light. I’m so happy for her and Marc. I can’t wait to meet baby Kennedy!

Nick & Jill Engagements

Holy cow, it feels like it’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted anything! I’ve been trying to get these posted for a while but for some reason “life” always has other plans. I sure hope that I’m not the only person that “life” likes to bother!

Look for this couple in the future because I’ll be shooting their wedding this fall! They were so fun to shoot… despite the grumpy old man that yelled the “f bomb” at us on for not staying on the bridge. For some reason that can happen so I feel like I should warn anyone whom I might shoot in the future that I always attempt something really weird and crazy (and fun of course). Yep, that’s right, that means that YOU will be attempting something weird and crazy, so be prepared for an adventure! Thanks for the great shoot guys and being willing to sit on stickers and still smile!!!

Me

One of my best friends, Jen White, is making her way into the crazy life of photography! She volunteered to shoot new portraits at her husband’s office. I came along and we needed to take our test shots. Who bettter to use than ourselves  j/j? So Jen got this shot of me and I think it for sure makes my list as one of my favorite pictures I’ve had taken. Thanks Jen!

Bahamas

My husband and I were fortunate enough to get way for a relaxing vacation two weeks ago to the Bahamas! I did bring my camera, but these are just shots from the few times I took it with me. I wish I had set up a nice shoot, but we were having too much fun not doing anything! Here’s a few of my favorites.

Cristian & Jen Wedding

Not only is it fun to shoot weddings for old friends, it’s even better to see that they are truly happy. Although these guys dated forever (like ten years or something crazy), these two are still very madly in love! The ceremony and sunset was romantic and the reception was crazy fun. I don’t know if I’ve ever laughed so hard at a reception. They had a great DJ  www.djinlasvegas.com who got everyone up dancing and pullin’ some moves I’ve never seen before! Congratulations Cris and Jen and thanks for letting me capture your special day!

Judd & Christine Wedding

Go big or go home! I’m pretty sure Christine had that written on the front her wedding planning binder! :) This wedding was amazing. It was located in the middle of nowhere (aka Death Valley), but the reception looked like a scene from a movie. My cute little niece was the flower girl (I included a couple images of her…. I couldn’t resist). Normally as the photographer, I am in charge of thinking of props to use. Christine brought me this way cool funky retro jeep. It was sooooooooooo perfect and I might have peed my pants a little when I saw it. I got so many fun pictures that I broke my 10 images rule, but I hope that you like them as much as me! Thanks for stopping by to take a peak!

Drew & Kayla Wedding

It was an out of control windy day, but you would never know it from the look of these perfect faces! I really do get the most beautiful couples. Totally model material…. that’s what these crazy young kids are!  Even though we didn’t have a bridal session under our belts and the wind was on crack, we managed to find some areas at the temple that didn’t blow Kayla’s veil out of her hair! Well, I’m in love with a bunch of these images and I hope that you like them too!

Brittany Seniors

Wow, it seems like FOREVER since I’ve posted anything! We are leaving to go on vacation soon and that been taking a ton on my time trying to get everything planned. Now I’m trying to be an all star and get all caught up before we leave….  we’ll see how that goes! This is my niece Brittany and I was really excited when she told me that she wanted to do something a little crazy for her senior portraits. Lucky for us, Vegas is the home of crazy so where do crazy people go?…… Downtown of course! I had fun playing around with my off camera flash, but I’m still learning and experimenting. I designed her announcement which I posted below and I included some others from our shoot! Thanks for looking!

Marc & Karisa Engagements

What a special year for these two! Not only do they have their wedding coming up this fall, they have a very special little girl still baking inside Karisa’s tummy! So needless to say, you’ll be seeing more of these two in the future! I couldn’t believe how great Karisa looked. She was glowing with love and excitement for the future, and I had so much fun capturing it! Here’s a few of my favorites!

Seth and Stephanie

I love these images of Seth and Stephanie….. or “Sethanie”…. like my two year old calls them! This gorgeous couple is the product of our photographers play date a few weeks ago. When I needed to find a couple to be my model, I knew Seth and Steph would be fabulous….. and they were nothing less than that…. FABULOUS! So like I said in an earlier post, it started to rain on us only a few minutes after we ended. It took almost all of us to get the couch out there and forever to get set up. Add a little rain to the party….. Seth picked up the couch on his back and we all ran to the car……… all in about five minutes.  Amazing. Well, here’s some of my favorites!
